Launched at Nyborg, Denmark, on the 18th June,1900, Rhea is a top sail schooner, built of oak on oak. She combines modern comforts, such as air conditioning, with the splendours of a traditional sailing ship. She was recommissioned in 1990 and returned to her original rig in 1997. Below decks Rhea is attractively panelled throughout in pine with teak fittings and oak beams. There is a spacious saloon with a lounging area and beautiful teak dining table. The four guest cabins each have air conditioning plus en-suite toilet, shower and handbasin. The aft cabin has a double and single bunk, the focs'le has a double and 'pullman' single, and the port and starboard cabins can be either doubles or twins. For parties of more than 8 guests, a further double cabin can be made available on request and we have happily accommodated parties of 12...extended family groups of several generations, or two or more families, are great fun for all.
